ECO4

The ECO4 scheme is a UK Government initiative aimed at helping low-income and vulnerable households improve energy efficiency and reduce energy bills. Running until 2026, it funds home improvements like insulation, heating upgrades, and renewable systems. Funded by major energy suppliers, ECO4 is designed to lower carbon footprints while making homes warmer and more affordable to run. Eligible households can benefit from these upgrades at little or no cost.

GBIS

The *GBIS scheme* (Great British Insulation Scheme) is a UK government initiative launched in 2023 to help households reduce energy bills by improving home insulation. It targets homes that are less energy-efficient, particularly focusing on middle-income households that may not qualify for other schemes like ECO4. The scheme offers subsidized insulation measures, such as loft, cavity wall, and solid wall insulation, to make homes warmer and more energy-efficient, thereby reducing energy costs and carbon emissions. It aims to support millions of households in upgrading their home insulation at reduced costs.
